3D Design using Tinkercad! Learners dive into the world of 3D printing, using Tinkercad to design and create their own 3D models, understanding the basics of 3D modeling and printing technology.
The next step in enhancing students 3D modeling skills using TinkerCAD, tackling more complex projects and understanding the real-world applications of 3D printing technology.
Explore advanced 3D printing techniques, focusing on design principles, material selection, and the application of 3D printing in various industries.
Design your very own souvenir shop, complete with a product line! Students in grades 6-8 explore the concepts of digital fabrication, seeing their digital designs from creation to physical products. The 15 lessons progress with the application of vinyl onto different products. The final lessons involve students applying their knowledge of digital design and vinyl cutting to create a product line for their own souvenir shop.
Throughout the lesson sequence, students acquire knowledge and skills of laser cutting and engraving. Students will being learning about lasers, basic laser cutting/engraving machine operation, and how to use Adobe Express. Students will begin with 2-Dimensional projects and build up to more advanced 3-Dimensional projects with real-world applications.
Introduce young learners to hands-on engineering principles and spatial reasoning through an exploration of 3D shapes, materials, size and scale, art, and prototyping.
